We did though have to reset the modem very often and still do from time to time but it seems to have been made better by updating the firmware in the dsl modem. They also had me update the firmware in my wireless router. I still have issues but I can't say that Natco hasn't made huge efforts to improve the reliability of the service. My nearest neighbor is over a mile away and we are 2 miles from a paved road in a very rural area so I guess we are lucky to have a DSL connection at all.

I have been a customer for several years. They try hard to meet my needs and provide good service.

Just saw the Natco reviews when looking for their phone number and wanted to add my two cents to the reviews. I think they do a great job of trying to solve problems even if they don't always succeed, and many of the problems people complain about are self inflicted via background activity uncontrollable by Natco. I'd give them 5 stars for effort but the 3 stars is based on the reliability of my actual connection.

Satellite internet is getting better and cheaper so that may be the solution in the long run.

Had them in flippin.. Was getting charged out the wazzoooooo! For less than par internet.. Rates were never the same month to month n the just kept going up.. Switched to sudden link pretty good internet to stream on.. Rates stayed the same.....

All others be warned. Overpriced service that has a stranglehold on the flippin community. I've been in IT 10+ years and I've never seen a ISP this greedy. Makes Comcast look tolerable.

The biggest example of local internet monopoly in today's world. If it wasn't for their great friendly customer service, this company would have nothing. Overpriced DSL, the most expensive fiber I've ever seen, it just seems like they charge these prices because they can get away with it in a rural area, nobody knows any better.

I don't think all the 1 star reviews are fair but the service isn't perfect either. I've used Natco for more than 2 years now and also struggle with speed and having to reset the dsl modem. Regarding the speed, the biggest problem I've had has been caused by the number of devices in my home downloading things in the background. I moved from an area with high speed cable modem (60 MBS) so all the background stuff didn't matter. Here with only 2.7 MBS on the best day, it's a killer. iPhones syncing in the background, downloading podcasts, loading offline Pandora content, DropBox accounts regularly syncing in the background are all bandwidth thieves. My email client, Outlook, is also a bandwith hog syncing email boxes in the background. Once we learned to turn off all this stuff, the problem got much, much better. If you learn to turn the wifi off on the devices when you aren't using them, or when you want to stream netflix, it will make a huge difference.

$150+ a month for 8 meg of bandwidth that is not reliable. it's split into 2 4 Meg connections (yes I have 2 modems). that's the only way they will give me anything more then 4 Meg. they have a monopoly on Internet here. can't wait for one of the big names to come in and crush them. I'm all for small local business but at least keep your prices competitive don't gouge people because you are the only choice. if I didnt absolutely have to have Internet here I would not do to price and reliability.
